About Saudi100

Saudi100 is an independent travel site about Saudi Arabia. It counts the country in lists of 100: 100 hotels, 100 things to do and 100 places to visit, each with short, practical notes and live hotel prices.

Who writes Saudi100

Saudi100 is written by Azeddine El, a structural engineer based in Morocco. He also builds engineering apps under AxeConstruct, the studio that publishes Saudi100.

An engineer's habit shapes the site: check the numbers, keep the facts plain and say where they come from. Walking times to the Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, airport codes, train links and districts are checked against public listings and official sites such as Nusuk, the Haramain railway and the airport operators, which are linked at the end of each guide.

The aim is simple: help you plan a trip to Saudi Arabia in less time, whether you travel for Umrah, for work or to discover AlUla and the Red Sea. Questions or corrections go to contact@saudi100.com.

How we choose places

Hotels come from what travellers search for most, city by city, in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Jeddah. Things to do and places to visit are chosen for what makes each region different: heritage sites, landscapes and experiences you cannot find elsewhere.

How we check the facts

  • Each hotel's city, district, distances and facilities are checked against several public listings before the page is published.
  • When listings disagree, we give the more cautious figure and tell you to confirm on the Booking.com map.
  • Every hotel page shows the month it was last checked.
  • Photos of cities and sites come from Wikimedia Commons, with a link to the author and licence. We do not show photos that pretend to be of a hotel when they are not.

About our images

Photos of cities and sites come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences (Creative Commons or public domain). Each photo is credited with its author and licence next to the image or at the bottom of the page. Photos show the city or the site, never a hotel room we have not checked. City illustrations marked "Saudi100 original artwork" are drawn by Saudi100 and can be reused under CC BY 4.0 with credit to Saudi100.
